Whilst the venue had a relaxing vibe there was limited room around the table to paint comfortably. Winnifred was very helpful and encouraging. Facilities to wash brushes and change water would have been helpful. The manager was unaware of the session taking place in the cafe. I met some lovely people and hope to attend more workshops

The event was not organised on arrival as the host did not know of our attendance. The host was frustrated and unprepared. This was quickly resolved and the art class with Otowa winifred continued . It was an interesting art class and relaxing.

Kinga was lovely and warm, perfect for this type of art workshop. The class was well planned, she had music and had materials we could use which was very nice

Kinga's attention to detail in presenting this event helped set a relaxing creative environment. I have always been daunted by the detail in mandalas but surprised myself in managing to make 2. Thank you Kinga.

ARTISTS
Razieh Mirzaee
My name is Razieh Mirzaee, an Afghan woman artist whose journey from Iran to Northern Ireland has been marked by resilience, courage, and a deep love for nature and painting. After years of hardship, I found a safe space in Antrim where I could freely express myself through art. Inspired by the natural world and animal portraiture, my work seeks to capture the silent stories, strength, and spirit of animals 2014 a reflection of the healing power nature has offered me throughout my life.

Through my painting workshops, I hope to share this sense of peace and connection with others. I believe that art can be a path to inner calm and shared joy 2014 a gentle space where we can come together, create, and heal.

For years, a chronic mental health condition has negatively affected my interest in creating art. I have since embraced creating art digitally. I found it provides more spontaneity, and is less cumbersome psychologically. The staff at this branch were welcoming and friendly towards me, as I spent a lot of time there enjoying coffee and people-watching. I decided to express my graduate in visual form. Sadly, now, this branch no longer exists, which makes me even more thankful that I made the e

This was inspired my time at my new studio at Strangford. Looking over the land , not comprehending the boundaries that lay out in front. Farm land, private land, land lent out for crop as an act of kindness. Land wanted but not sealed in a sale .the piece gave rise to a feeling of compromise. Completed last year in water colour/acrylic mixed on thick watercolour paper . Loveofthelough Heather Green

My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
